High School Senior Portrait Tips
One of the many exciting things high school seniors get to enjoy during their last year of high school is going to get their senior portraits taken. Unlike the normal school picture day, this professional photo session allows teenagers to be creative as they create the image they want to be remembered for in their high school year book. Because these pictures as often the ones people look at when they think back on their high school years, for many students it is very important that these senior year photos come out just right.
For many students, their high school senior portrait session is the first time they will go to a professional photography studio to have their pictures taken. To ensure that the session goes as smoothly as possible and that seniors get the portraits they want, students and parents should keep the following tips in mind:
• Communicate with your photographer exactly what type of photos you want. If there a certain poses, backgrounds or other ideas you had for your photographs share them with your photographer so he or she can incorporate them into your photos. Likewise, if there are any poses, backgrounds, etc. that you do not like it is important to let the photographer know right away as well.
• Bring props or other items that represent you. Whether it is a baseball glove, sports jersey, a paint easel, a musical instrument or other item, bringing in a prop that represents your hobbies will help make the portraits truly unique.
• Bring 2-3 outfits for your photo sessions. When picking out your outfits remember that they should not only represent you, but they should also be comfortable and allow you to move in various poses. To save time during you photo session it is a good idea to bring each outfit, and coordinating accessories, in on its own clothes hanger.
• Some photography studios, such as Glamour Shots, allow customers to choose which portraits they want to buy immediately after their photo sessions. For this reason, many Glamour Shots reviews suggest customers bring their form of payment with them to their photo sessions so that they can pick, pay for, and receive their portraits quickly.
